Breckenridge Ski Resort broke ground back in 1961 and since then has become the 2nd most traveled ski resort in the country. Being just short of a two-hour drive from Denver International Airport, Breckenridge holds convenience for most travelers while still providing a mountain vacation getaway. In 2013, Breckenridge opened Peak 6 on Christmas Day, marking one of the largest resort expansions in North America.
 
With over 1.6 million annual visits, the town has been able to provide world-class entertainment throughout the years. With Ullr Fest, a local tradition of honoring the Norse god of snow, the International Snow Sculpture Festival, Oktoberfest, the Lighting of Breckenridge, the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts, a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus public golf course, and much more, there is something to spark everyone’s interest.
